Improving Child Welfare’s Performance through Continuous Quality Improvement
The Leadership Fellows program strengthens Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) within a child welfare system, increasing its capacity to reach positive outcomes for children and families. The program provides agencies the support needed in all phases of improving performance: readiness for change, capacity-building, prioritization of challenges and data-driven problem-solving.
Our first program, called STEP-Striving Toward Excellence Program-in New Mexico, was launched in 2015 with the support of Casey Family Programs. The process was designed to increase participants' knowledge, skills and sense of empowerment. Review the evaluation of STEP by the Butler Institute for Families, University of Denver. Download
